snow-white they say

but what I see is emptiness in gray fragments

Roughly bundled, loosely packed

weak, vulnerable.

why descend from heaven like ballet stars

Tumbling

Only to be crushed by aching foot

Demolished by sodden boot, impure, filthy

Destroyed, body and soul?
