Happy Mother’s Day!

It seems like I only post on big days now. Some writer.

There’s not much I can say ‘cept THANK YOU to all the mothers out there, who’ve gone through the epic pain of childbearing and raising grumbling toddlers. Not to mention changing nappies day after day.

Perhaps you got your mum flowers or a card – the usual beauties. After searching on Google though, I found a page full of ‘unique Mother’s Day gift ideas’ – solar dancing flowers, ‘pollution’ drinking glasses, breakfast gift baskets and wind-up ‘Racing Grannies’. Not to mention a super-cute inflatable heart. Aw.

Of course, what’s most important is lots of rest for our working mums. And here are some sweet quotes to wrap off for today:

‘My mom is a neverending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being.  I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune.’  ~Graycie Harmon

(For dads too!) You don’t really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around – and why his parents will always wave back.  ~William D. Tammeus
